Adolescent Shift: Specialized coaching sessions for students -middle school through university
Understand how the adolescent brain works: Knowledge is power.
Adolescent Shift is a specialized Thought-Quest coaching path designed for youth ages 11 to 25 who want to understand themselves, and their minds, on a deeper level.
Through guided sessions, students learn how their developing brains influence emotion, focus, motivation, and decision-making. By decoding these inner workings, they gain tools to regulate stress, strengthen resilience, sharpen critical thinking, and develop lifelong coping skills.
Our tailored, neuroscience-informed approach helps students navigate change with confidence, think independently, and thrive, both academically and personally.

Student Testimonials
-
"Ms Mari taught me that believing you can reach goals that you set for yourself. I can connect ideas and learn new things even though it is different from what I was taught before. I can persevere through challenges I face and figure things out on my own and see how it is useful in my life outside of school. She teaches students skills they will use in the future such as critical thinking skills. She explains to students that being in the real world, everything will not be given to them and they will need to figure things out on their own. I didn't know before but all subjects are relevant to real life as it teaches students different skills that they will use in the future. Thank you Ms Mari"

"Ms. Mari classes are helping students in this generation to learn new skills that could really help them in their future. In my opinion, the main thing is that kids/students build self-discipline, determination and perseverance in working alone and realizing that I CAN DO IT BY MYSELF! And building self-confidence."
-
"I'm doing great nnow. I received a scholarship to take iBDP at --- next academic year thanks to you. You transform me."
-
"As a student, the best thing about Shift classes is that students are taught by Ms Mari how to manage their time by making daily plans, which encourage students to be more independent. Also, we learn to not always depend on our teachers for everything. We put our learning in our brains."
-
"I have learnt about how the brain works and how it relates to growth mindset (having a flexible mind and ‘thinking out of the box’), along with how to keep track of my time (with the weekly planner). I also learned that being a critical thinker is thinking with the most efficiency and thought into it and if there are any flaws in the question."

"I learned that Growth mindset is the idea of being accepting of failure, not as a barrier, but rather as a learning tool. Because we can see what we did wrong, what failed, and to make sure that we can try again in a way that eventually succeeds. We can also see how we feel about it due to hindsight. Reflecting is important to my learning now. Perseverance means to keep going, even with the barriers on the way, and not letting any of that stop you.I have learned a lot, especially that failing isn't bad. I have learned that failing is inevitable, not in a bad way."
